Good Evening Members of Monticello, 

Just a couple of announcements/reminders for the community

1.  TRASH BINS – Any questions about the replacement of your trash bins need to be directed to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, you can go to their website at https://www.cmsdca.gov/ 

2.  Trash Bins are now to be placed inside your garages, as it appears the District has completed the trash can replacement project. As a reminder, the bins can be placed out the evening before pick up day (Wednesday) and must be taken in the same night. Letters will be sent to owners who are not taking in their trash bins. Any questions about the trash bin replacement project can be directed to the District at https://www.cmsdca.gov/. 

3.  This office has received reports about rain gutters/buildings/garage doors being hit and damaged by the trash trucks. All claims are to be filed with the Sanitation District at https://www.cmsdca.gov/search.php?q=filing+a+claim. The Association is not responsible for the reporting/filing of these claims nor the repairs. 

4.  The Board is still working with the City of Costa Mesa in regards to the needed repairs of the sidewalk near the Morristown/Yorktown/Vanguard exits/entrances to the community, as the City is denying any responsibility to make the needed repairs. We appreciate everyone’s patience while we work through this with the City as to not have to spend Association funds for this repair. 

5.  Due to the MLK Holiday, the January Board Meeting will be held on Monday, JANUARY 13, 2025, with General Session starting at 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse.  Due to the Presidents Day Holiday, the February Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, FEBRUARY 10, 2025 with General Session starting at 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. 

6.  The Board is still working with the Association’s Legal Counsel and Consultant for the Community-Wide Roof Replacement Project in regards to the schedule, payment, etc. of the project. We thank you all for your patience, and will be scheduling a special meeting to discuss with the membership once all information has been obtained.
